Chiropractors and midwives share a general consensus that natural birthing can have reduced negative effects to the baby’s head and neck during delivery. The use of drugs and external forces may cause undetected injury to the baby's spine and cranium as well as to the delicate nervous system.
These issues may not necessarily be easily detectable immediately after birth and may have consequences that can have prolonged effects on a child’s future health.
