Doctor Profile

Well It has been a while since I have updated my biography. This past week someone had mentioned that I did not even have my children in there. Here I am doing a blog not as often as I would like but I am not keeping you up to date in other areas.

Here goes.

The last 5 years I have been busy. I have had 3 amazing children, competed in a few triathlons and grown my office to serve more individuals.

My oldest is Eric he was 4 this spring, Esprit is 2 1/2 and Jamie is 15 months. All of them equally amazing. Eric is the sports fanatic - you should see his slap shot. Esprit is the comedian, Jamie is the quiet observer, for the moment anyway. My husband and I have been so blessed.

This past March I competed in my first half ironman - along the way have been many olympic and sprint races along with several fun runs. I have another 1/2 ironman August 1st in Calgary. This October 9th I will be competing in the Hawaii Ironman. An 18 year dream coming true. As I am racing I will be raising funds for Chiropractors with Compassion - helping widows and orphans around the world. We are currently taking donations. Our goal is $10,000. Please email or call for more information.

This past March as well we renovated the office to enjoy more light from our big beautiful windows, more open concept. We utilize the space more efficiently so we can help more individuals with education about chiropractic and other health practitioners. Come on in and check it out if you have not been for a while.

As the chiropractic profession is changing politically I am becoming more involved with education and research. I am dedicating approximately 100 hours a year to courses across North America and correspondence, along with doing some in office research. If you would like more information on the research we are starting please do call. We are looking for 40 volunteers over the next 2 years for this project. These individuals must not have received any chiropractic care within the last year.

In our practice we are also ramping up our practice member benefit by implementing new computer software. We now have the ability to mark your films with a digitizing program to measure your curves, and compare your progress vs. doing it by hand saving time, but giving you more visual feedback. We have also acquired a program to demonstrate to you your current posture and the postural changes that occur with care throughout your course of care within our practice. It is amazing how research helps in so many ways. We know and you know your posture is the window to your spinal health.

We have known for many years the importance of correcting the curve of your spine and having a 42 degree cervical curve and 63 degree lumbar curve is optimal for spinal cord health. We just need to help more and more people understand this. So I am asking you to make sure you educate yourself on "chiropractic," as it can change your life now and in the future. It can also change your families life. Get them in for a wellness check up.
